Aligned Across 14 US State Standards — One Content Library, Unlimited District Reach
A K–12 LMS platform needed its content library verified and mapped across Common Core, NGSS, and state-specific frameworks before it could sell to school districts. Vaidik Eduservices delivered that alignment — with documentation strong enough to pass district procurement review.
A Platform With Great Content — That No District Could Verify
The client had built a comprehensive K–8 content library over three years — thousands of lessons, practice sets, and assessments across Math, ELA, and Science. But when they started approaching school districts and state procurement offices, they hit the same wall every time: show us your alignment documentation.
Without verified, standards-coded alignment reports, no district curriculum director could approve the purchase. The platform's sales pipeline was stalling at the proposal stage — not because of content quality, but because of missing paperwork that their team had no framework to produce.
Vaidik Eduservices was brought in to build that entire alignment layer from the ground up.
What Stood Between Them and District Sales
Four interlinked problems — each one a blocker the platform couldn't solve internally.
No Standards Metadata on Existing Content
6,400+ content items had been built by subject writers with no systematic standards tagging. Alignment existed intuitively but was undocumented — useless for procurement purposes.
14 Different State Frameworks to Navigate
While Common Core gave a baseline, 14 target states had diverged — Texas uses TEKS, Virginia uses SOL, California adds its own NGSS adaptations. Each required separate crosswalk documentation.
Sales Cycle Pressure — 5 Months to RFP Season
District procurement cycles in the US peak in spring. The client had a five-month window before the next RFP season. Missing it meant a full year's delay in district-level revenue.
Content Gaps Against Target Standards
Once alignment began, it became clear certain grade-band and standard clusters had no matching content — gaps that needed to be identified, reported, and in some cases filled before documentation could be complete.
A Phased Alignment Build — Starting With the Framework
We structured the project in four phases so the most critical states (by sales pipeline priority) were completed first — giving the client usable documentation within eight weeks.
Standards Audit & Priority Mapping
Catalogued all 6,400+ content items against CCSS and NGSS. Identified which states the sales team was actively targeting and sequenced alignment work accordingly. Built the master tagging taxonomy.
CCSS & NGSS Full Alignment
Every content item received coded standard tags across Math (CCSS.MATH), ELA (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY), and Science (NGSS). Items with partial alignment were flagged with gap notes for the content team.
State-Specific Crosswalk Documents
Built individual crosswalk matrices for each of the 14 states — showing exactly how CCSS/NGSS codes map to state-specific standard codes (TEKS, SOL, NGSSS, etc.). Each matrix was formatted to match state procurement template requirements.
Gap Fill & Final Documentation Package
For 11 identified content gaps, we produced supplementary assessment items and short-form lesson summaries to achieve full coverage. Delivered final alignment reports, tagged content export, and a standards coverage dashboard.
Every Framework — Built for US District Procurement
National and state-level standards frameworks covered across the 14-state scope.

"We'd been selling around the standards question for over a year — just hoping no one pushed too hard. Vaidik gave us the documentation that turned 'we think we're aligned' into 'here's the proof.' Our first full RFP season with the package in place, we closed three districts in eight weeks."
